Message from the new Practice Manager

My name is Mandie Hiscock and I have worked at The Molebridge since 2005.

This practice and our patients are incredibly important to me and I thank you for your support through all the changes we have been through. It hasn't been easy for you or the staff but I sincerely hope to steady and improve our service to you.

I have only been in this post for 2 months so please bear with me. In this time, I hope you have seen the premises looking better, check-in screens working and I am employing 3 new receptionists immediately. This is to change the way we work by taking away many tasks carried out at the front desk to enable us to dedicate more time to you and your needs. Training is to be given to the new recruits so I am expecting improvement by the end of December, but sooner if we can.

We have a new Lead GP in Dr. Sabri who is an highly experienced doctor able to lead our clinical team. I will be asking him to write his own message to you shortly.

There has been a lot of criticism on social media regarding appointments and lack of them. I understand your frustration and take your concerns very seriously.

We do have the text/email messaging service now to remind patients of their appointments but we still had 110 missed appointments in October, 98% of which were pre-booked, and 154 the month before. I am currently working on offering more appointments in the coming days & weeks and also hope that the amount of wasted appointments reduces.

I am happy for you to contact me by email with any ideas, suggestions or complaints or perhaps join our PPG. We met last Friday and new members are always welcome.

Do you need an appointment when the practice is closed?

Ask the receptionist for an appointment at one of the hubs in Epsom, Leatherhead or on The Downs.

You can book the appointment in advance, or if you need to see a doctor that day you can phone the above number to book an appointment.

Phone lines are open

18:00 - 21:00 weekdays

09:00 - 13:00 at weekends
